 Garfield County Fair & Rodeo mission statement
The purpose of the Fair Board is, in collaboration with Garfield County Administration, to ensure the successful promotion, production, and execution of the Fair each year.
The Fair Board shall ensure Fair programming is of high quality and that programming improves annually, as needed. Fair programming:
• Shall embrace all ages, persons, cultures, and entities within Garfield County
• Shall foster a spirit of community values
• Shall promote the Western and agricultural heritage and history of Garfield County.
Join the Garfield County Fair Board
Garfield County Fair Board members are needed for 2024-2025 and future years. In collaboration with Garfield County Administration, volunteer fair board members assist in ensuring the successful promotion, production, and execution of the Garfield County Fair & Rodeo. The fair is held the last week of July most years.

Fair board members serve three-year terms and the board typically meets the first Tuesday evening of each month, rotating between the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle, and the Garfield County Administration Building in Glenwood Springs.

Mission
The Fair Board serves at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), and is advisory to them. Every member of the Fair Board is a volunteer.
