Pull on your boots and dust off your cowboy hat for the 86th annual Garfield County Fair & Rodeo on Tuesday night. This fun filled event brings in all the local cowboys and cowgirls for the Family and Kidz Rodeo. Anyone can compete in the events on Tuesday night. These are free events for the whole community to watch!

Registration for all participants 4–5:30 pm; line-up at 6 pm

  • Dally ribbon roping
  • Family team branding
  • Rescue race
  • Barrel racing – 10 and under, 11-17, 18 and older
  • Rawhide race

Kidz Rodeo age groups

All mutton bustin’ participants must weigh 50 lbs., or less.  Only the first 50 entrants may register. Limit per rider “roll one”. One parent/guardian per child at chute.

  • Round 1 mutton bustin’ – first 25 kids
  • Boot scramble – ages 4 through 7 years, and ages 8 through 12 years
  • Stick horse races – 3 through 5 years
  • Round 2 mutton bustin’ – next 25 kids
  • Calf scramble – ages 4 through 7 years, and ages 8 through 12 years
  • Goat Tying – ages 4 through 8

Family rodeo

Family team branding/dally ribbon roping – $25/team
Rescue race – $15/entry
Barrel racing – $15/team
Raw hide race – $15/entry

Kidz Rodeo fees

Boot scramble – FREE
Stick horse barrel races – FREE
Calf scramble – FREE
Mutton bustin’ – $10 / entry
Goat tying – FREE
