The 18th annual Summer of Thunder Car Show returns to Rifle on August 2, from noon to 4 p.m. Get up close with these vintage works of art and muscle and chat with the owners about this true labor of love. The show and judging take place at the Garfield County Fairgrounds, 1001 Railroad Ave. A swap/shop car parts flea market is also taking place at this year’s event. Bring your spare parts and sell them, trade them, or donate them to someone who is working on a classic.
