GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – The main event schedule is set for the 84th annual Garfield County Fair and Rodeo, which includes its customary lineup of rodeo excitement, demolition derby, monster truck show, Friday night concert and much more. This year’s theme is “Roaring into the ‘20s,” an homage to the resilience of our people and the great agricultural heritage of western Colorado.

The family and kids rodeo takes place on Tuesday, July 27; the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls is Wednesday, July 28; the PRCA/Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) ProRodeo and Veterans’ Appreciation Night rides into town on Thursday, July 29; the always popular main concert is Friday, July 30; the annual parade, car show and demolition derby are slated for Saturday, July 31; and the event closes out with monster trucks on Sunday, Aug. 1. Details on the concert performer are coming in the following weeks.

“We are excited to be planning this year’s fair and rodeo, especially after last year’s COVID limitations and restrictions. The Garfield County Fair Board has been thinking of new, exciting ways to bring a lot of fun to this year’s events,” said Garfield County Fairgrounds and Events Manager Cassidy Evans. “We are hopeful that we will be able to have all events and that we will get to see the smiling faces of our community again. Stay tuned for updates and announcements as we plan a week full of fun for the entire family.”

All events and schedules are subject to change and all health precautions will be considered to ensure a safe and fun fair and rodeo. Find more information and updates at garfieldcountyfair.com.

“I think that this will be one of the best attended fairs we have seen ever,” said Commissioner Mike Samson. “People are chomping at the bit to get out and have a good time. I think people will come out in droves.”
