GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – The Garfield County Fair and Rodeo returns to the fairgrounds in Rifle this summer, bringing back all the fun and excitement, including the demolition derby, rodeo action, monster trucks, Friday night concert and much, much more. The fair and rodeo takes place from July 27 through Aug. 1 and the musical acts are being announced in early June.
The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls and PRCA/Women’s Pro Rodeo Association (WPRA) are slated for Wednesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 29, respectively, and both events begin at 7 p.m. The annual concert takes place on Friday night, July 30, with gates opening at 5 p.m. Watch as daredevil drivers crash and smash their way to glory under the lights at the demolition derby on Saturday, July 31, beginning at 7 p.m. Finish out the fun with a huge monster truck show on Sunday, Aug. 1 – gates open at noon and the thunder begins at 1 p.m.
The always fun car show and thrilling Strongman events return this year, and don’t forget about the arts and crafts on display in the Open Class competition, and the fantastic family rodeo and 4-H livestock shows.
